The LinkedIn Ads connection brings your campaign delivery data and professional audience insights into Marcenta. Beyond standard metrics like impressions, clicks, and spend, LinkedIn provides demographic dimensions—such as job function, seniority, and industry—that are unique to the platform and let you understand which professional audiences your ads are reaching.

What data is synced

Metrics

MetricDescription
impressionsNumber of times your ads were displayed
clicksNumber of clicks on your ads
ctrClick-through rate (clicks ÷ impressions)
cpcAverage cost per click

LinkedIn-specific audience dimensions

These dimensions are unique to LinkedIn and reflect the professional attributes of the users who saw or clicked your ads:
DimensionDescription
job_functionThe job function of the user (e.g., Marketing, Engineering, Finance)
job_titleThe job title of the user
seniorityCareer seniority level (e.g., Senior, Manager, Director, VP)
company_sizeSize of the user’s company by employee count
industryIndustry of the user’s company
LinkedIn demographic dimensions are only available when reporting on campaigns that have sufficient audience data. LinkedIn applies privacy thresholds that may limit demographic breakdowns for small audiences.

Before you connect

Make sure you have:
  • An active LinkedIn Campaign Manager account
  • Campaign Manager access to the ad account you want to sync

How to connect

1

Go to Connections

Select Connections from the left sidebar.
2

Select LinkedIn Ads

Click the LinkedIn Ads card in the Available connections grid.
3

Authorize with LinkedIn

Click Connect LinkedIn Ads on the setup page. You’ll be redirected to LinkedIn to sign in and grant Marcenta read access to your Campaign Manager data.
4

Select an ad account

After authorizing, you’ll be prompted to select the LinkedIn ad account to sync. Choose the account and confirm.

Permissions requested

Marcenta requests read-only access to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager data. No changes can be made to your campaigns through Marcenta.

Sync frequency and manual sync

LinkedIn Ads data syncs automatically. To trigger a sync immediately:
  1. Go to Connections.
  2. Find the LinkedIn Ads connection in the Active Connections grid.
  3. Click Sync Now.

Troubleshooting

The OAuth token may have expired or been revoked. Open the connection’s Manage view and reconnect. After reconnecting, click Sync Now to resume data collection.
The LinkedIn account you authorized may not have Campaign Manager access to any ad accounts. Confirm you’re signing in with the correct LinkedIn account, or ask your LinkedIn Ads administrator to grant you Campaign Manager access.
LinkedIn applies audience privacy thresholds. If an audience segment is too small, LinkedIn withholds that breakdown. This is a LinkedIn platform restriction and cannot be changed in Marcenta.
Your LinkedIn OAuth session has expired. Reconnect from the Manage view and then retry Sync Now.
